Flexible Aluminum Covers are linked extrusions that form an all-metal band. Flexible aluminum covers are often used on machine tools and industrial equipment for the most rugged applications both with and without canisters.

• Type B is specified most often. It has a strong and low cost profile. Load capacity=20 lb/ft² (90 kg/meter²) at 40" (1000mm) width.

• Type B2 is manufactured with a closer fitting tongue-and- grove design. It has a stronger joint thantype B. Type B2 has almost no gap between links so contamination cannot enter. Type B2 is specified for wide covers, when there is a lot of contamination hitting the cover, and for most motorized applications. Load capacity=20 lb/ft² (90 kg/meter²) at 40" (1000mm) width.

• Type A is a solid profile and is specified when heavy or high velocity parts will impact the cover. For example, narrow walk-on covers or covers around high speed spindles. Load capacity=30 lb/ft² (140 kg/meter²) at 40" (1000mm) width.

• Type 4R has polyurethane seals at each joint and is specified when a liquid tight cover is needed. Load capacity=10 lb/ft² (45 kg/meter²) at 40" (1000mm) width.
